The estate had already some years under the belt. 1672 the yard was built, what one also regarded it in the year 1998, when the family Sternhagen acquired the yard, which was led until 1982 as farm of farmer Petersen.
Mrs. Croon from Hanover bought then this old farmer place and built the first guest rooms. In the former calf stable, today breakfast area, she carried on a wool parlor. In the year 1991 the ownership structures changed. The wool-parlor became a tearoom. The country house Oevenum was called now country house Temme. The old fruit orchard, on which still sheep feasted at that time, transformed slowly into a coffee garden. 1992 the barn was developed. The bases for 15 individual rooms were structurally created by Mr. Temme. Again the owner changed 1995. The estate was called and is called since then country hotel Laura. Mr. Wack and Mrs.Bauer worked here three years. By switching of Hans George van Herste in the spring 1998 we acquired this object. Since then we - the family Sternhagen –welcome you as guests.
The renovation work preceded at first only piece by piece and so some training money was paid. Gradually the estate was set in conditions and attained full growth themselves in such a way to a respectable country hotel. Meanwhile the country hotel Laura belongs to the 100 best land hotels of Germany.*
15 rooms, under it four suites, which in the country house Laura Ashley - style with much love for the detail are furnished, a romantic garden as well as a small recovery range promise the guests recovery purely. In sunny weather, which is running out gulf stream before the North Friesland´s coast and the pre-aged islands Amrum and Sylt owing to, becomes all meals then in the inner court garden served.
